Bawan Tamarind Martyr Memorial Site Fatehpur

located near Khajuha village of Bindki tehsil in Fatehpur district. Bawan Imli
Memorial is located on Mughal Road. This monument is located on the main road,
3 kilometers west of Khajua village. You can easily reach this monument. Here

Bawan
Tamarind Martyr monument is the symbol of sacrifices offered by freedom
fighters. Here monument has a tamarind tree known as Bawan Imli. 52
revolutionaries were hanged in this tamarind tree on 28 April 1858. The
tamarind tree is still present at this place. The local people believe that the
tree has stopped growing after the massacre. This incident is also called the
second Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
To terrorize
the public, the dead bodies of 52 revolutionaries were allowed to hang in the
tamarind tree for several days. Amar Shaheed Jodha Singh's companion Maharaj
Singh came to know about this and along with 600 revolutionaries took his dead
body out of the tree on the night of 4 June 1858 and cremated it at Shivraj
Ghat.
Due to the
hanging of 52 revolutionaries in tamarind tree, this place came to be known as
Bawan Imli. A memorial has been built here. The names of all those brave
soldiers have been written here and their graves have been built.

Bagh Badshahi Fatehpur

A decisive
battle took place here between Aurangzeb and Shahshuja, the two sons of Emperor
Shah Jahan, to become the successor on 5 January 1659 AD. That's why this place
holds special importance in medieval history. After this victory, Aurangzeb
stayed in Khajuha for about a week. In the memory of his victory, he named it
Aurangabad and got Charbagh, Masjid, Caravan Sarai built with fraternity.
During the British period, this site was used for the cultivation of indigo.
This garden
combined with boundary wall is a beautiful specimen of the Mughal charbagh
style. At the corners of the boundary wall are bastions decorated with
beautiful chhatris, while the grand two-storied door of the chauphal in the
middle of the western wall opens to the town of Khujha. Three bawliyas have
been built along the northern wall, which were used for water supply in
Charbagh. There is a stepwell and a tank in the middle of the garden, from which
water is transported to the garden through canals around it. The remains of
